Lynell Hamilton (born August 5, 1985) attended Edison High School in Stockton, California, where he was ranked among the nation’s top running back prospects. At San Diego State, he became one of the most decorated recruits in program history, earning Mountain West Freshman of the Year, First-Team All-Mountain West, and NCAA Freshman All-American honors.

After signing with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2008, Hamilton played three seasons and scored the team’s first touchdown of their Super Bowl XLIV championship run before injuries ended his playing career.

Following his time in the NFL, Hamilton transitioned into coaching, working with running backs and special teams from 2011–2016 at San Diego State, the Oakland Raiders, and Riverside Community College. He is the Co-Founder and CEO of Fast Play Athletics, a multi-sport training company where former professional athletes mentor and develop the next generation of talent. Hamilton also served as NFLPA San Diego Chapter Vice President (2016–2017) and has been President of the NFL Alumni San Diego Chapter since 2017, leading a group of decorated former players who host impactful charitable events throughout the community.
