In 1998 Ron Martin along with his wife Debra and his 2 sons Chris and Cory opened a retail store in San Marcos and also launched a web site with 2 goals in mind. One to become the largest presence in San Diego area and to have the largest web site in the US sewingmachinesplus.com. It dinn't take long before both goals to be achieved. Before her death in 2013 Debra was able to see our growth from $200,000 our first year to over $35,000,000 in sales.
Sewingmachinesplus has a retail store in the Nordhal Market Place shopping center in San Marcos next door to Costco in the Walmart shopping center at Nordhal and Hwy 78 and of course our number one award winning web site sewingmacinesplus.com
We have, year after year, been the largest retailer with over 10 vendors including Brother, Babylock,Grace quilting, Janome sewing machines, Bernina, Handiquilter, and many others. We have proudly kept 50 employees working under the keen direction of CEO Blaine Austin.
